What time does the gala begin?
Doors open at 5:00 pm with a cocktail reception going to 6:30 pm. During this time, you will check in, mingle, enjoy appetizers, and view what is available in both our silent and live auctions. 

Where is the cocktail reception?
The cocktail reception will take place in the Madison Ballroom of the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. This is on the floor above the general hotel lobby. You can take either the escalator or the elevator.

What is the dress code?
We are saying "casual cocktail." This could be something you may wear to a friend's wedding or a nice dinner with colleagues. Above all, please dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

How long will the silent auction go for?
We will open the silent auction a few days prior to the event and alert ticket holders and gala donors via email. The silent auction will close promptly on Saturday, October 5th at 6:30 pm. 

How does the silent auction work?
You can access all parts of the silent auction through your mobile device. Greater Giving is the technology platform we are using to facilitate the silent auction. You can view the general aspects of the silent auction through this link here. Once you check in at the event, you will receive a text message containing a link to view everything and bid. If you are outbid, you will receive a text.

When does the dinner and program begin?
Dinner and the program will be taking place downstairs from the main hotel lobby in what is called the Courtyard Ballroom. The doors for dinner will open at 6:30 pm. We will have staff and volunteers ushering folks at this time.

If I win an auction item, where I can pick it up?
We invite all auction winners to go back up to the Madison Ballroom's lobby (via escalator or elevator) to claim their items once the program ends. There will also be a DJ and dancing in that ballroom. We hope everyone will join us for that!

How will parking work?
You may find information about parking at the Renaissance Hotel on this page here. There will be instructions about payment and recommendations on alternative parking lots in case the hotel lot fills up. You can also take the 1 Line to Symphony Station (formerly University Street Station).
